Track record.

Specialized attorney with over 24 years of experience in legal advising, consulting, and litigation in Criminal Law. He acts as defense counsel and victims’ representative, with expertise in the liability of healthcare institutions and professionals in criminal, civil, ethical, disciplinary, and administrative matters. He also has experience in corporate criminal law.

As an external attorney for Grupo Suramericana de Seguros, he handles criminal matters related to negligent offenses. Additionally, he served as Secretary General of the Sectional Tribunal of Medical Ethics of Antioquia during the 2013–2014 term, leading legal advisory for the magistrates and overseeing administrative and financial management.

He is co-author of the book “El Sistema de la Individualización de la Pena en Colombia” (“The System of Sentencing Individualization in Colombia”), published by UPB Editorial in 2001, and of the article “El acceso a la historia clínica en el Sistema Penal Acusatorio” (“Access to Medical Records in the Adversarial Criminal Justice System”), published in the Revista Médico Legal of the Colombian Society of Anesthesiology, Issue No. 4, 2010.
